Rubber door stop in your bug-out and travel bag.A simple rubber door stop placed behind your front door at night, one of the simplest and cheapest ways to stop a home intruder who may have obtained keys to your home (think rental and how many people may have had a key to your front door) or they managed to pick your door lock. It takes seconds to jam into the base of your front door or bedroom door and locks the door solid from opening. You can also use it as a way to open the door to strangers and if they try to barge in, the door will jam into the door stop which should be 10cm behind your front door with your foot on it as you open the door. Why keep one in your travel bag? Staying away in a hotel room...simply jam under your hotel room door at night a sleep well knowing that no one can enter your room. It weighs hardly anything and costs less than €10 to buy a decent quality one. The only question is why wouldn't you travel with one? It works. Don't buy the very cheap rubber door stops, many of them we have tested collapse when enough force is applied to them. We like the Big Foot solid rubber door stop shown above. Comments are closed.
