We highly recommend this item as part of your EDC (everyday carry).
Multifunctional and with UV protection, not only are these items fantastic for protecting you against the sun and harsh weather in a survival situation. But simply loading one up with rocks, coins or batteries and tied off, converts it into a SAP or Backjack type weapon. The elasticity of the material gives a great amount of force when used as a striking tool.
Make one part of your EDC. Weight and size is not an issue, keep one in your coat pocket and you won't even notice it.
Every home, vehicle and bug-out bag should have at least one!
With several versions of this award winning product, we recommend the portable straw water filter for your bug-out bag and vehicle. And the 650ml water bottle version for camping and hiking trips.
A quality stainless steel pen that's great for taking notes, can also be used for self defence.
'Tactical self defence pens' may look cool and yes we agree they are a useful EDC item for self defence, but you shouldn't travel with such an item and you should only carry what you train with DAILY. Being caught trying to get on a plane, or certain high security government buildings with a aggressive pen branded by a firearms manufacturer, is really not a good idea in the current world climate of global terrorism.
And the reality is, using a pen for self defence should not be considered as anything more than a good tool for 1 to 3 strikes on your assailant. Beyond that, you need to revert to your hand to hand combative training. The Bourne Identity clip below is a great example of how even a simple pen can be used for self defence.
We recommend LEGAL TO CARRY ANYWHERE and the original pen of James Bond, Parker Jotter.
Our tried and trusted multitool that we've used and abused for over a decade. Dependable and built to last, it has never let us down. Highly recommended.
