Self defense needs to be practised daily, weekly.
Often when people ask what we do, if they've already been exposed to martial arts, boxing or MMA, they love to tell us about how they already know everything, they are a black belt, they were once national or regional champion...blah, blah, blah...in reality they no longer pratice anything.
You are only as good as your CURRENT training is.
If the last time you had a high intensity combat sparring round was last year, many years ago, or when you were a kid, you are living an ego based fantasy they you don't need WEEKLY training to keep sharp what you once had.
Self defense is not something you learn once. It needs to be practised DAILY in awarenss skills, and at least 2 x WEEKLY in pratical combat exercises to maintain a high level speed, power and agression.
